haiiii how are u? :3
i’ve been thinking a lot about my childhood the past few days and i’ve just been remembering how silly my imagination used to be.
like, whenever i would put toothpaste on my toothbrush i would pretend that i was icing a cake. (i still do this ngl..) and whenever i ate broccoli, i imagined i was a giraffe eating leaves off of a tree.
and yk that circular piece on the bottom of flip flops? i used to push it out and hammer it back in with the other flip flop. i was an amazing cobbler.
i also used to “ice skate” by sliding around on the floor tiles in my socks. and speaking of ice, my best friend from elementary school and i used to reenact scenes from frozen at recess. i was always anna bc my friend was blonde so it just made sense for her to be elsa. however, i think i got to be elsa once, and we were acting out the reprise scene and i “froze her heart” and i remember turning around and seeing her on the ground clutching her chest. it was so dramatic and funny.
when my family visited hotels my sister and i just HAD to play office workers. we would pretend to call each other on the phones and write nonsense on those little notepads.
alright.. this one may sound weird but my sister and i used to pretend a witch was cooking us in a soup during bathtime. and we would go around in circles as if she was stirring the pot.
another time, we pretended that we were shipwrecked (we were in an empty bathtub btw) with only popcorn to eat. we made a whole video on my mom’s phone bro. i’m still so embarrassed of that video bc all you hear is CRUNCHING. like what was our issue omg 😭
and yes. i was a kid who used to pretend to drown in the pool to see if anyone would care. so what if i knew how to swim? this is a test and everyone failed.
nowadays, i just pour soda into the lid of the bottle and pretend i’m doing shots. and i hate alcohol! my parents saw me doing it the other day and were very confused. but idc it’s so much fun.
i know i did so many other things as a kid, those are just a few of them! maybe i’ll share more childhood memories in the future, lol.
so, what was your imagination like as a child?

nara nara naraaaaaa :3 hello eep. i'm doing okay, honestly happier after i've got 2/3 midterms out of the way. how are you~?
in elementary school, my friends and i used to pretend we were witches / fairies / space adventurers during recess. there was this dark space underneath the big slides where we pretended to make potions. we didn't do anything with them, we just made them LOLZ.
on my own, though, i used to pretend to have tea parties all the time. the idea of a tea party was really fascinating to me then, idk why BSJSJJSJS. whenever i got story ideas, my mom would make me little books so i could write and draw in those stories. but even before that, i used to be like, "i drew this drawing and i have a story for it, can you help me write the story?" so there's also a lot of papers around the home of drawings and captions with them. i'm like... 90% sure i made over a hundred, of just the most random stuff LOLZ. i'll have to find the box again and count.
i wish we were encouraged to use our imaginations more in grade school. it's like once you enter that system, it slowly chips it away, which is honestly a tragedy...
hope u have a fun weekend nara~ be silly!!!!!!!!!! :D
dear cod that's a lot of words i'm so sorry nara
that's amazing, eugene!! soon they will all be done :D and i'm doing pretty good, thank uuu~
making potions is such a canon event... just mixing a bunch of stuff together was so much fun. i used to want to make mermaid potions LOLOL.
i liked tea parties toooo!! my sister and i used to have little tea sets, and we'd drink water out of the cups. but the little books!!! omg that's so cute, i'm gonna cry :'D i'm so glad they were saved, i hope u can revisit them at some point! i'd love to hear more about them ^o^
me tooo.. luckily, i had a sister to play with, and my parents let me see my friends pretty often, so i always had someone to make up games with.
hiii naraaaa!! ^^ sorry for the late reply ㅠㅠ i'm doing alright, thank u for asking, huehue. but omg this post is so cute~! (and fyi, i'm also a fellow flip flop cobbler and soda lid shot taker >:3 great minds really do think alike BAHAHAHAHHA)
for me, my childhood imagination was pretty similar; lots of elaborate scenarios with mundane objects. slightly embarrassing one though.... i was obsessed with this huge robot dinosaur at a museum and genuinely thought it was real AND V COOL, so for years i'd imagine it chasing me whenever i walked through a dark hallway (IT WAS ACTUALLY TERRIFYING). i also used to pretend i was a spy/journalist and record "news reports" about random stuff on my ds.
and omg eugene unlocked a memory for me! i also played fairy/elf with my friends and for some reason i ALWAYS had fire powers, lol. we also used to "bake" cakes in the sandpit, mixing pond water with sand to make icing n everything. truly gourmet.
(ALSOOOO IS THAT SUZY??? if so, i love that pic of her~!)
hiiii koi!! no need to be sorry, i'm just glad to hear you're doing alright!! (omg, i thought my sister and me were the only flip flop cobblers! that's so cool :0)
THE DINOSAUR IM CRYINGG 😭 but lowkey, i feel like we all had a similar imagination as kids. the news reports sound like so much fun too!! ik u were an amazing journalist.
fire powers were elite, i don't blame u. and the sand cakes must've been so much fun to make. y'all were lucky to have access to water, we had to dig until we reached wet sand, lol.
(YESSS IT'S SUᶻ 𝗓 𐰁Y!!! i love this pic too, she's so cuuute ♡)
