recent events

hi guysss, good evening~ how are you doing?

there's no need for any long introductions, so i'll jump right into some life updates!

my birthday went very well! i ate lots of cake and got some nice gifts. my mom got me pink birkenstocks, a kit with perfume, body wash, and perfume in it, and a candy bar hehe. my dad got me two lounge sets, and my grandma mailed me a card. overall, it was a very great birthday. i thought i would have a midlife crisis, but surprisingly i didn't.

as i mentioned in my last blog, i had an interview at a retail store. i didn't get the job, but i'm glad i was able to at least get some interview practice! it was still a good opportunity nonetheless. i think the best thing for me to do is probably just look for work on my college campus.

also, my 4th of july was super duper fun!! my grandmas, my aunts, my uncle, and my cousins all came over to our house to celebrate together. we grilled food, swam, and just spent quality time with each other. i don't usually enjoy hosting gatherings at our house, but i really enjoyed that day.

in my online world, i've really been enjoying friendrewind so far. i'm so happy we are all together on there you guys!! :D it feels like old times again. i have a lot of hope for the site's future, and i'm so impressed with how popular its become. i really appreciate how the dev addresses site feedback and fixes bugs with efficiency. i really need to get out of my own bubble and start posting in the forum and stuff, it's way too active for me to just sit on the sidelines.

oh and this is random, but i tried a banana popsicle today. my grandma left a bunch of popsicles in our freezer, and i pulled out a yellow one hoping it would be like, lemon-flavored or something. but it was banana! i usually don't like that flavor, but that popsicle was super yummy. so come by and pick up a popsicle, we have plenty~!!

trip & tune pt. 2

wow, it's been a minute since my last post. hi guys!! it's currently past 2am, but i just wanted to talk about what's been going on.

so, saturday was really fun! my family and i traveled down to see my aunt, uncle, and little cousins. my parents and aunt and uncle went out to see a show, so my siblings and i got to do some babysitting.

it was very hectic and noisy at first, because my cousins and brother were chasing each other around the house with nerf guns. at one point, someone got hurt and i ended up having to hide the gun.

one of my little cousins got a makeup kit, so my sister and i did her makeup. my sister taught her about how to apply highlighter, it was so sweet. <3

we also got to eat pizza and cupcakes~ and we tried to watch the leap movie, but somehow we ended up on just dance(??) then, the wind blew us to youtube and we started watching michael jackson mvs.

also yall, my little cousin is such a troll. i asked him if he liked michael jackson and he said, "i hate him." and i was like "?? why???" and then he replied, "i like shaboozey." HELLO??

then when the smooth criminal mv started playing he was like "oh i like this song" and said the same thing during the mv for you rock my world. i asked him "you know this song?" and he was like "yeah". then, when i asked him what it was called, he looked at me and said: "michael jackson 😊" i was CRYINGGG. but ykw? yeah, it is michael jackson.

the ride home felt longgg, and it was a bit hard to keep my eyes open. but now i'm awake!!

anyways, that trip was really the only interesting thing to happen lately, lol. i've mostly been trying to finish up my schoolwork for this summer term and watch love island. and i've been working on my website a bit!! i made a new header, found some new fonts, and added an ipod music playerrr~ but you never know, that stuff could change in the future. i can never make up my mind it seems.

oh!! and i almost forgot to mention this, but tomatomat recently had a little comeback. it's called TOMATOMAT DOSIRAK. lemon & sherbet is probably my favorite, but orange runway comes in a very close second. the mv for it was really nice too!! :D i missed them smmm, i was literally thinking about them the other day and it was like my wishes came true. f5ve comeback next pleaseeee~!!!!!

✿ one good thing that happened this week was that i got to play around with these adorable little charms at my therapy appointment. there was a yellow care bear one that was so so cuteee~ and now i want my own! ✿

a small update

well, we've made it to the end of another week~ how are you guys doing?

i had a few side quests this week. on monday, i had to go and gets my labs done, and then i had a doctor's appointment on thursday. my vitamin d numbers are still pretty low, so my doctor prescribed some supplements. i went to go pick them up from the pharmacy today, and i only have to take them once a month. what better day to start taking the supplements than on the first of the month?

i also finished a final presentation for my management class and submitted a two-page essay to an essay writing competition. the prompt was to write an essay on why you chose to major in business and how your success after university will affect your family for many generations. whoever wins the competition gets a monetary prize of $10,000!!! i'm really hoping i win, bc i think i have a pretty unique story. i mean, i moved from the biology department to the school of business, who has done that??? if i win the prize money, i will give it to my parents.

i set my new layout earlier today, andddd i think i like it! very pink and shiny, but also quite mobile UN-friendly... eek. i really like the font as well, though i'm worried it may be too small for people to read. i think i'll make it a little bigger. and the song!!!! i've been obsessed with it for weeks, the instrumental is so cute. i was pretty close to setting the song to bubibu by apink, but the music player barely works anyway so i couldn't bring myself to care much more.

oh!! i didn't tell you guys but i got a new tv last week! my mom picked it up for me last week and i'm very thankful~ i've been watching a lot of nickelodeon on it, hehe. currently, the fairly odd parents is on. i'm gonna turn on my sleeping music soon tho.. i'm pretty tired.

speaking of my mom, midnight is coming soon, and then it will be her birthday!! we're planning to go out to eat and then go to the movies after. i hope she enjoys her birthday (and that we can have cake, hehe..)

shooting star

before i start talking about whatever, look at this cute blue duckie i found in the dryer earlier this week! isn't he cute? i think it might be one of my sister's many trinkets, but i'm keeping it now!

anyways, now onto actual blogging...

this week, i watched SO many old mvs and music stages. i even watched a few of those public dance perfomances (still wanna see one irl sooo badly). snsd, apink, 9muses, kara, miss a, girls' day.... even rainbow ended up in the mix somehow. idk what came over me but i just could not. stop. watching. the music. on top of that, i watched a bunch of f5ve dance practice videos. the girls are so synchronized, and it's so incredibly satisfying to watch them dance. i'm so grateful to have been blessed with two eyes to see them.

also, the dance practice video for i choose you was literally filmed on an ipod!!! not to be a total nostalgia freak, but it honestly reminded me of old k-pop dance practice videos. remember how they used to be super low quality with no camera movement, and you could hear shoes squeaking and hitting the floor? i miss that. you can watch the video here if you want. just thought i'd share~

i've also got some unfortunate news. my grandma lost her dog, clifford, yesterday. it's been very hard on our family, but especially my grandma. he was such a sweet dog, and he was supposed to live so much longer. he really was her little buddy, following her everywhere :( my grandma has had several dogs, and i've never seen her without a dog in my entire life. now she says she will not have any more dogs, and that's understandable. i just hope she will feel better soon. my mom says that while she was outside with kali a short while ago, she was looking up at the stars saying how she missed clifford and loved him so much. and right then, she saw a shooting star. (i'm getting teary-eyed now just thinking about it.. i miss him too. TT)

ah, well. besides all of that, i'm really happy that i have my good friends here. i get the best feelings when i talk with you guys! you're all so lovely and i'm so grateful to know you, seriously. ♡ i hope you all have a great weekend, and i can't wait to talk with you soon. see you then~

trip & tune

any life, any galaxy, i choose you every time.

haiii :3 saturday was such a long day, i’m so tired.

originally, my siblings and i were supposed to stay at home while my parents went out to bring back my new car (it’s red btw, i like it!) but they decided to let us go too. this meant that the dogs were left home alone.

the drive there was a little over 3 hours and we got mcdonald’s bc my parents and sister had visited last thursday and said it was the best mcdonald’s they had ever had.

it was not as amazing as they made it seem today tho.

afterwards, we also ended up visiting family friends and seeing their new home. then we hopped back on the road again. we stopped at another restaurant on the way back and they were playing omg by newjeans.. maybe the employees are bunnies.

so yeah. i spent a bunch of time riding around, listening to music, and eating. i was very happy to finally get home to my doggies after so long~

i WAS gonna let kali sleep with me in my room, but she started acting crazy, biting at her leg and turning around in circles on MY BED. then my brother walked in and started playing with her, making her act worse.. i told him to stop, but it was too late. kali jumped up and pushed him back, and my tv fell over.

so, kali is now in her kennel. 🙂 maybe another night.

also, music!!! f5ve has been on repeat for me a LOT lately. i like a handful of their songs, but i can’t choose a favorite.. and the mvs. ughh i love them. some are so simple, and filmed in one location. and they are amazing!! do you guys listen to them?

i could go on and on about them, but it’s almost midnight. maybe i’ll talk more about them in a separate blog! we’ll see. anyways, i should be going to bed now. night night~!

the new

it feels like an eternity since i last posted.

in all honesty, i have not been busy in the slightest. i was just too lazy to type a post...

but i think it's time for an update! i'll start with school to get the boring stuff out of the way.

so, school. it's been going okay, and being a business student is pretty chill. i have 5 classes (1 is online) and they're all in the same building! and get this... i have ONE (1) hardcopy textbook. mind u, i had 9 hardcopy textbooks last semester and maybe only used like one of them (barely..)

my professors and classmates are cool, too. all of my classes consist of discussion, something i wasn't very accustomed to coming from science lectures. it's nice to sit in a classroom for once and not have a professor talking at u for fifty minutes.

i think the most annoying thing is that i have late classes from 5:30-6:45 monday-thursday, but luckily the professors don't keep us the whole time. so it's fine.

so all in all, i like this new path. moving on~

my mom, sister, and i cleaned the downstairs area of our house today. it was so dusty omg. i vacuumed, wiped down the stairs and some tabletops, loaded our NEWWWW DISHWASHERRRR!!!! (it came on wednesday btw) and helped my mom mop. it was exhausting.

anyways, i've been listening to a lot of music lately. apink recently had a comeback, and it was pretty good. the mv for "love me more" was really cute.

speaking of music, have u guys heard of tomatomat? i got distracted in the middle of typing this post and started rewatching their mvs. the three songs that they have put out so far are so cuteee!!!! "mushroom house"  and "collect call garage" sound like a cute videogame soundtracks. i really wanna try to recreate the vibes in my new layout.. glossy gradients, pixel fonts, pink, blue, green. aaah, so much to think about.

well, enough rambling on and on about things. i've missed u guys, and i hope ur doing well. having a nice weekend? let me know when we talk soon, luv ya~

merry christmas!

hi guys!!! i hope everyone had a great day. i know i did!

so to start off, here's what i got:

⭐︎ phone charger (it's as tall as i am! now i charge my phone while laying in bed comfortably)

⭐︎ bath & body works lotion and perfume

⭐︎ exfoliating sponges

⭐︎ gloves, scarf, and beanie set (hasn't arrived yet)

my sister also made the sweetest edit as a gift for our family! it had a bunch of pictures and videos of us as kids, and i was tearing up so bad. that video was probably my favorite gift.

after opening presents, everyone just kinda relaxed for a while, but later on we gathered in front of the tv to play that say the word on beat game. have u guys played that? it's a lot of fun, but pretty challenging. we also played a game of avoid saying the same answer as me (christmas edition), would u rather, and we even did some riddles!

then, we had some chips and dip and i made more double chocolate cookies. here's some cookies for u guys!!! 🍪🍪 (koi, i know u don't like chocolate very much so i'll give u a virtual sugar cookie if that's okay lol.)

random, but we also went through my dad's facebook. one of the first pictures he posted was from like 2012 maybe?? and i was going through all the pictures and reading all the comments hehe. it brought back some sweet memories. ah, i miss those day so muchhh :c
