afterimage

hiii guys, today marks two weeks since my last post. i don't usually go that long without posting a blog, so this is a little out of the ordinary for me.

lately, i've been kinda busy with schoolwork because the semester is coming to an end. i don't believe i have any actual final exams, but i do have some final projects and presentations that i've been working on. lots of papers and research....

also, i finished coffee prince on monday!!! it was SO good and i love how it ended. i could honestly spill my thoughts on all the characters and stuff but maybe that would be better suited for a later blog. i still miss eunchan too........... </3

this week has been kinda up and down for me tbh. my emotions have been all over the place, switching between happy to being irritated. wednesday was probably the most hectic day. i had class at 9am, and then a panel discussion to attend at 12:30. i had no idea where the room it was being held in was, so after aimlessly walking around trying to find it for a few minutes, i finally built up the courage to ask someone. (seriously tho... who decided to put a dining hall in the basement??)

the meeting went well. they fed us olive garden, but i barely ate. by the time it was over, it was almost 2pm. and right after the event, i had to drive all the way to pick my sister up from her school and take her to the hair salon for a 3pm appointment. mind you, it was like 80℉ outside, the sun was beaming, and my car's ac wasn't cooling me off AT ALL. i was already frustrated and now i'm having to rush.

i have a horrible sense of direction, so i wasn't entirely sure how to get to her school from mine so i put on directions and made sure to set them to avoid freeways bc.. terrifying. anyways, as i was driving, my phone overheated and my directions cut off, so i freaked out bc i didn't know where i was.

after a little while my phone finally turned back on, and i made it to my sister's school. it was still very hot in the car, so we rode with the windows slightly down. i knew a route to get to the salon, but made a small mistake getting into a turning lane on the road and another car honked at me... yes, it hurt my feelings.

after dropping my sister off i had a mini breakdown bc i hate driving and i hate living in this country town and i hate how i have to have a car to get everywhere. but then i came home and had a sandwich and i was okay.

also guys, in reference to the title of this blog post, i got a kinda silly story to tell. last night while i was laying in bed, my eye kept bothering me right? well, just a short while earlier something had blown into my eye when i was outside, but i couldn't find whatever it was when i looked before. since my eye was still bothering me, i decided to get up and look at my eye in my room's mirror. i had my phone flashlight on to see, but after a while of looking i still couldn't see anything so i decided to go and lay back down.

you know how when your eyes is exposed to light you get those afterimages when you close your eyes? it happened to me last night, and it looked like some kinda bright blob of wires or blood vessels. i quickly became terrified when i realized the afterimages still weren't going away after like thirty seconds. i kept seeing it when i closed my eyes, and when i opened them i could still see it faintly. at that point, i seriously thought i had damaged my eye and was gonna go blind or something.

no joke, i got so scared i started doing google searches and praying. but sometimes, you just gotta chill out and wait. and so i did. after a few minutes of laying still the afterimages went away and i was able to sleep peacefully.

so yeah, that was kinda terrifying. i won't mess with my eyes so much anymore. i would like to keep my good vision~

today has been okay, i guess. it's friday so that's nice, but i'm having cramps and feeling uncomfortable. we are supposed to go and visit my grandma, but now i don't know if i even wanna go anymore :( i hate going places during these times, but i really did wanna go see her. i know i'll probably be pretty uncomfy, tho. whyyyyyy did it have to come today ㅜㅜ

i was gonna go blog template hunting, but now idkkk... if i struggle to find one today, i'm gonna become so irritated my blog will end up with no template, lol.

lastly, since i don't really have my 'thing' to end my blogs, like sotd or qotd, i think i'm gonna start logging one good, cool, interesting, etc. thing that occurred in the week. i wanna be more optimistic, and i think it's good to acknowledge the good things in life often. it serves as a reminder of all of the beautiful things the world offers.

✿ with that said, one cool thing that happened this week was that i got to watch ants carry around sand grains while they worked on their anthill. it was kinda cute seeing them crawl around with the grains of sand. ✿
